The brief
A winery with a cellar door runs four businesses at once: tastings to book, a kitchen with hours, wine and cider to ship, and a club to keep members in. Those usually end up on three different platforms with three different logins and a website that links out to all of them.
What we built
Bookings for the cellar door and kitchen, and a Shopify store covering the Sparkling range, the Edenesque series, the Single Vineyard series, the cider and apple brandy range and Kelly Brothers Cider, sit on the same site as the vineyard story, the team and the events calendar.
The wine club joins to the store rather than sitting beside it, and gift vouchers and special offers run through the same checkout. Upcoming events and opening hours are on the homepage, because for a cellar door those two facts are most of the traffic.
The engineering
Shopify handles the cart and checkout; the rest of the site is not a Shopify theme. That split is deliberate. It keeps the commerce reliable without forcing the vineyard story and the events calendar through a storefront template. Events and opening hours are client-editable. Free shipping thresholds and delivery messaging are configuration, not hard-coded copy.
