The brief
Thirty generously proportioned allotments around a private cul-de-sac at Two Wells. A land release that small does not need a website with a navigation. It needs one page that makes a family want to register.
What we built
A single page, structured as an argument: the space each allotment gives you (room for a garden, a veggie patch, an outdoor kitchen, a shed, a boat, and somewhere for the kids) then what is nearby, then what is within easy reach.
Registering interest is the only action on the page. There is no gallery to browse away into and no news section to go stale. The allotments are now sold out, and the page says so rather than continuing to collect leads for something that no longer exists.
The engineering
One page, no navigation, one form. The sold out state is content the client controls, so the site could be switched from selling to sold without a developer, which is the difference between a site that stops taking dead leads on the day and one that takes them for another six months.
