The brief
Civecon do civil and development work at a scale their old website did not suggest. Everything that proved it (the projects, the plant, the certifications) sat in a capability PDF that only got sent after someone had already decided to talk to them.
What we built
A project gallery that holds full detail for every job: scale, specs, before and after. A capability section as real, indexable web pages instead of a download. A careers area the office can update themselves when a role opens, which was the first thing they used after training.
The CMS was set up so the project team can add a job in about five minutes: photos, a short description, and the specs that matter. Nothing about publishing a new project requires us.
The engineering
Images are processed at upload into modern formats at several sizes, so a gallery page ships a fraction of what the source photos weigh. There is no page-builder and no theme; the front end is written for this site. Accessibility was built in rather than retrofitted: contrast, focus states, keyboard paths and readable sizes throughout. It has been monitored, backed up and updated every day since launch under a care plan.
