The brief
Established in 2012, BuildSurv certify social infrastructure and major assets for public and private clients across South Australia. Work at that level is won on track record, and a track record is worth nothing if it is a list of names in a paragraph.
What we built
Every project gets its own page with the photography running full width: Memorial Drive, Glenside Botanica apartments, the Wulanda Recreation and Sports Centre, Norwood International High School, the Oval Hotel and Coles Norwood Como among them. A panel reading a submission can be sent to one of those pages instead of a PDF.
Behind the project archive sit the service pages, team profiles that carry the combined experience the firm sells on, and an enquiry form that reaches the office directly.
The engineering
Projects are a content type, so the team adds one with photos and a short description rather than asking us to build a page. The image handling processes uploads into several sizes at upload time, which is what lets a project page carry large photography without the office having to think about file sizes before they publish. Headings, contrast and keyboard paths were built in rather than retrofitted.
